Term 1 2013

Happy New Year and Happy New World.  As the Mayan calendar came to an end I was struck by how many people expected change to come from without.  Change from within each individual towards being more peaceful, more centred, more connected to self and therefore others and more changed attitudes would I think allow for a new world to unfold. Let this be our new world practice.

Yoga in Alice Springs
We have short courses in Alice Springs in Term one encouraging people to attend four weeks consecutively. Elisabeth Marnie re-joins the teaching team at Beyond Breathing Space to teach the Dru class on Saturday mornings and Mahadeva will offer some classes while I am away.  Check the Term 1 timetable for details.
Beyond Chronic Pain
I will be travelling to New Zealand again in March to run Beyond Chronic Pain workshops both as professional development training and for people experiencing Chronic Pain.  I am delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with Dru teacher, Sue Cleaver and with Yogamani at the Manipura Yoga Centre in Auckland.
Yoga Beyond the Classroom
Working again with Sue Cleaver in New Zealand, I am offering a program to assist you with developing your yoga practice at home.  We ran this last year in Nelson, and are offering it in Napier in March.  In collaboration with Premjyoti Ross, I am also offering half-day programs in Melbourne in April – Coburg and Fitzroy.
Please also check out a new business collaboration Centred in Choice, where I will be working initially with Judy Hatswell and Joy Taylor, to offer Professional Development in the Positive Outcome Process – combining the 5000 year old tradition of yoga with modern day internal control psychology.  We have achieved international accreditation with the International Coaching Federation for our four stage program Coaching for Success and Sustainability, and we are offering courses across Australia and in NZ and Singapore during 2013.
Sri Lanka Tour
I am offering another tour to Sri Lanka in July. Check out the two options, one in the school holidays and the second extending beyond the holidays. We will be staying at a different Ayurvedic retreat centre this year where I have stayed before, literally an island paradise. The brochure will be ready next week.
This year my services extend to working as a Outreach Counsellor for the Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service. If you think you may qualify for this service please ring 1800 011 046 to clarify and organise the referral.
I look forward to seeing you all back in class if you are coming to yoga, to making new connections in New Zealand, Australia and beyond in the coming months.

Finally, welcome to the new babies who attended pre natal class and are now out in the world.

In peace
