Click here to download the TERM 2 TIMETABLE Term 2 is complicated by the fact that Satya and I are going to the Ashram in Sydney (Mangrove Mountain) during the first two weeks of term for the visit of Swami Niranjin and a teachers’ conference which follows on immediately. We always look forward to hearing what Swami Niranjan is thinking and the direction that that seems to indicate for us as teachers and yoga practitioners. Times at the ashram are vital professional development for us, which enriches our teaching, so everyone benefits. However, this means that for Beginners the start of Term 2 will be delayed until Monday, 28th April. The first class of Term 2 for Level 3 students will be Saturday 12th April but then there will be a two week break. After that the next three classes will be taught by Sharon Johnson (a class member) as Mahadevananda (Pat) has to go to Darwin for three weeks to support her daughter and young family after she has an operation. The Pre-natal class will continue without a break in the expert hands of Kalikamurti who has agreed to keep it going while Pat is away. [You don’t get a holiday from pregnancy!] The Seniors’ class will not restart till the beginning of June, but to make up for it, there will be the option to attend two classes a week (Monday & Thursday) for the last 3 weeks of term, making it a six lesson program in all (at the Winter time of 10.30am). In Term 3 we hope to offer a class for Level 2 students, who are currently missing out There are some exciting events coming up. In Term 2, over the weekend of 6th -8th June, we are delighted to be hosting Swami Satyadharma in Alice Springs once again. Many of you will remember her visit and the workshops she conducted three years ago. We have also invited Swami Muktibodhananda another master teacher, to share her considerable skills with us later in the year, in Term 3, over the weekend of 5th – 7th September. Both these teachers have spent many years in India close to Paramahamsa Satyananda. They are very highly skilled and we are truly honoured to welcome them here. Please keep these dates free and seriously consider attending the entire weekends’ activities with both. Tell anyone else you know interested in yoga, irrespective of the tradition they follow. Details of the programs and costs will be released as soon as they become available. During the winter break (probably for 7 days beginning 29th June, but this is negotiable) Mahadevananda is considering taking advantage of Tiger Airways to pay a visit to Rocklyn Ashram, outside of Melbourne. They conduct a ‘Living Consciously’ program, which commences each Sunday. If you think you might be interested in joining her, let her know and more information will be provided. Classes are going well, but we do miss those of you who have been in the past and have not attended for a while. Please consider resuming your practice. The effects you experience will benefit you and everyone close to you. Hari Om Tat Sat Pat (Mahadevananda), Satyasankalpananda and Kalikamurti * counselling * life coaching * training and development * independent facilitation * yoga instruction/therapy * residential yoga programs * yoga workshops * yoga products about beyond breathing space Inner space is the final frontier. In a world that teaches us to blame others, to fear others and ourselves and to look outside ourselves for answers we are increasingly finding that this way of being, leads further and further down the road to disillusionment and unhappiness. The only thing we can control in life is ourselves and despite how poor our choices are sometimes, it is not what happens to us in life that counts, it is our attitude. All services, resources and classes at Beyond Breathing Space aim to provide people with a long or relaxed breath approach to life. We offer the skills to Take Charge of Life in a manner that is congruent to your mind body and soul. Humans are infinitely creative and given the opportunity and skills can find answers to all problems within. There is an American Indian teaching that says that when we get into trouble we have spent a lot of creative energy getting to the bottom of the well, it is our job to use that same creative energy to get out.
