Welcome to 2011. I hope you are all feeling rested and ready to put your mind to having a fabulous year.
May I suggest that rather than starting with a resolution for the year, think about how you want to be no matter what goes on and let that be your guiding light. Every year brings us unexpected challenges and it is our attitude that determines how we manage them. So set your theme to allow for laughter and enjoyment, as well as any other qualities you wish to include. Have a think about how that means you will be in adversity as well as good times and what you will need to do if accidentally you go off track. Then make it so Number One!
I am very excited this year to announce that finally the first set of downloadable resources are now available on line. Regular users will recognize the original CD’s, which have been converted to downloadable, however there are now three more resources available so please check them out and tell all your friends. At the moment they are sold only through the web site. Later in the year we plan to make them applications for the iphone and available on itunes. More are in progress including Beyond Insomnia, Beyond Anxiety and I have been asked to do one for families especially parents of young children, who are sleep deprived. Hopefully in the first quarter of 2011 the Yoga affirmation cards will be published and ready to sell online.
Stay tuned for details of the launch of the Beyond Breathing Space resources on Friday 25 February in Alice Springs.
This term I am offering a couple of new yoga courses: Meditation and Early Morning Yoga plus a two-hour introductory workshop for people with Chronic Pain or Illness. Yoga has a lot to offer people who suffer with this (much more than postures or exercises). So to ensure they run please book in. If you have questions about any of the new courses please give me a ring or email.
The Term 1 Yoga Timetable can be downloaded from here.
Muktibodhanada will be returning this year and we are offering a different program that is a one night residential at Campfire in the Heart just outside of Alice Springs. The program will suit beginners and experienced yogis and focuses on knowing your mind through knowing your breath. As we are all breathing we will have lots of information to help us.
Training opportunities abound this year (see conference information below) and in the lead up to October Judy Hatswell will be joining us to offer accredited training in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management. The skills and knowledge can transform workplaces, your life and the people around in a completely non-judgemental and supportive way, so please check out the information on the web site. These courses are tailored to meet the needs of the participants.
As well as offering counseling (including through Medicare rebates available through the GP mental health plan) I am offering appointments for people who would like to live Beyond their current Limitations. Initially a two or three hour session with follow up if you want. So if you would like to change something about your life, career, your business, your way of relating and don’t know how I would be honoured to assist you.
Appointments will be available in Alice Springs, Melbourne and potentially Perth.
These sessions and counseling can be available using online video calls or via telephone. You can find me at Kalikamurti1 on Skype.
This year I have extended my voluntary commitments to Alice Springs by becoming the Chair of RedHotArts and we have some exciting plans for the year such as Alice Lit Up, which are roving solar art installations that we aim to light up Alice between September and December this year.
I am also Co-Convener of the William Glasser Institute 2011 Conference Centred in Choice which will be held here in Alice from September 30-October 2. There will be pre and post conference training in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management. We would love to see you at the conference and participating, even giving a workshop.
I will be singing with Asante Sana again as I cannot miss singing with the Soweto Gospel Choir from South Africa in May plus singing with the HoneyJoys a blues and gospel a cappella group.
I love feedback so if there is any other service or resource you think I can help with please let me know.
Looking forward to working with you all.
