Instead of feeling like the rug has been pulled out from under you, learn to dance on shifting carpet.
Welcome to term three of Yoga in Alice Springs. This term we are offering Dru and Satyananda styles, a short course in meditation techniques and a specialised program “Beyond Chronic Pain”. As part of the Alice Springs yoga community, you are also welcome to attend monthly havans (fire purification ceremonies) and weekly Kirtan and Mantra Chanting. Download the timetable here. Bookings are essential for classes this term so please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or myself to make sure your place is secure. Workplace yoga and private classes are also available.
Bookings are welcome for the short course starting July 27. Learn to befriend your mind, emotions and body. No previous meditation experience is necessary. Bookings email@example.com

Centered in Choice Conference
Putting Alice Springs on the map in a positive way
September 30 – October 2 2011
I am co hosting the Australian William Glasser conference here in Alice Springs. The conference focuses on skills and training alternative to the current strategies of control, criminalizing poverty; blaming and shaming the victims; and reducing people’s personal responsibilities; the current common ways of working with people especially Indigenous peoples.
If you are you interested in sharing professionally with national and international colleagues facing the same dilemmas daily join us as we discuss the four themes of the conference: Mental Health; Working with Indigenous Peoples; Sharing and Evaluating What Works; and Lead Management. Check out the Centred In Choice website and the William Glasser Institute website http://www.wgia.org.au/ for general information about Choice Theory. We would love to see you there.
Beyond Chronic Pain
The last workshop was postponed due to the cold weather and the negative impact this has on pain. Hopefully August will be a bit warmer and easier for people to attend either during the day or in the early evening. View the flyer for more information. Enquiries and bookings email@example.com
